If we were having coffee I would tell you that we are going to have to keep this short because I have a cold…again. This winter has been pretty bad for colds around here. Just about everyone in my family has had something, a cold, the flu, or worse, the dreaded stomach flu. I think the whole city might be sick too. I went King Soopers today and they were completely out of the Theraflu medicine I like. They didn’t have any Theraflu brand anything left. Luckily I still have three packets left and some of the nighttime stuff. That should get me through tomorrow.
If we were having coffee I would tell you that this is the last day of my winter break. I am sad to have to get back to my regular work schedule but the bills need to be paid so I have no choice. My girlfriend summed it up earlier today by saying that “it’s funny how not working for two weeks really makes you want to quit your job”. I agree with her completely. Getting up when you felt rested, then spending the day doing as you please really makes it clear how miserable your job makes you. Hopefully I will be able to get back into the swing of things without too much resentment.
If we were having coffee I would say that I hope the first few days of the new year have been good to you. Besides being sick I think I am off to a good start. I have been doing everything I wanted to do but I am taking it easy. New years resolutions are fragile things and I don’t want to stress over them from the beginning. I won’t make it thrugh the month let alone the year if I start out that way. I have read and written and drawn everyday. Not a whole lot everyday but some. Enough to feel good about. I hope I can continue it while working too. We’ll just have to see.
If we were having coffee I would say that I had better go. Because I am sick, and because I have to work tomorrow, I am drink some of the nighttime Theraflu and plan to be sleeping in the next 20 or 30 minutes. Rest and fluids, rest and fluids, right? It was nice talking to you again, have a good night :)
