Be Water

I wake up like ice
Then struggle to find my flow
Be water, not steam!

  1. This is great!

Just for future reference ~ modern day haiku does not require a strict 5-7-5 syllable count. The flow is more important so an extra (or one less) syllable doesn’t disqualify it as haiku or senryu. When I first started writing, a phenomenal poet told me to always read the poem out loud, especially if editing.
