Wonderful Things Are About to Happen

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you are well rested or you at least have all the coffee you need to get you through. It’s time to start the work week and as always I am trying my best to start it off right. I’m not a morning person so this new, earlier schedule is rough on me but one thing I have noticed that helps is getting myself excited about the day.

As soon as I wake up I think of one or two things I want to get done that day, things I am happy to do or that will further my goals. Then while I am getting ready I think about when exactly I am going to do that thing, how I am going to do it, and how I will feel once it’s done. Then I think about all the wonderful things that will happen when I complete everything. I think about my ultimate goals and how this or that task plays a part.

I know it sounds a little cheesy but I am basically just trying to get myself excited and motivated for the day. In the mornings I don’t want to leave the bed at all. I wake up late 4 out of 5 work days a week because I am usually laying there just trying to convince myself to shower. Getting excited about the day has helped me want to get up. Getting excited also improves my mood and makes me feel energized so I can get to work as soon as I get to work.

Mondays are hard, we all know that but take a minute to think about all the things you could accomplish in the next 24 hours. Think of all you could accomplish over the course of this whole week! Think of how much closer you will be to your goals once you get up and get going and get to work. Think of all the wonderful things that could happen…

Now go make them happen!

  1. I don’t have a big problem with Mondays. I love my job, so it’s not too hard to get out of bed. Though I removed the memory foam from my mattress because it was making my bed too comfortable, haha. If it’s not comfortable, I get up more quickly after sleeping! It seems to work. For now. :P
