It Begins by Seeing Each Other as People

  1. Well said. My little community in the Midwest is having its first gay pride event. I couldn’t be more proud of my friends who are willing to organize and take part. I’m amazed at the openness they have and the willingness to converse with people who don’t see things as they do. We’ve got more than our fair share of one-dimensional, reactionary garbage directed at them. So, that’s hard to take, but since the attitude is “seeing each other as people,” I remain hopeful.
